It’s Monday night y’all! We’re 1 day down until another weekend of bliss.
This past weekend proved excellent, as always. There was copious amounts of sleep, food, friends, horses and awesome.
Friday night Veronica made the voyage up 26 floors for a little mind rotting (aka Bachelor Pad and ANTM 15(which ps I am so excited about this season: DVF! Cavalli!!) and sunset watching (see below), I was in bed by midnight (go me!), and managed to get a solid… wait for it… 12 hours of sleep (obs you’re more jealous than shocked).

Saturday I met up with Chris to walk Abby, however sadly Abby bailed on us (cough I totes magotes forgot to ask her owners cough), so we ended up just heading down to the lake for a stroll. Fall is certainly on its way as holy, moly it was chilly for September the 11th.

Friday night was Mr. Sam’s birthday party, where right off the bat, I knew I wasn’t drinking (due to my 8am 23k run on Sunday morning), but I managed to mingle for a few hours with some of my favourite people…

(Tash, Maria, Me, Sam, Amanda)

(Adrian and me)
At 10:30am I loaded up my mom’s van (I know, I’m sooo cooooool) with my slightly intoxicated friends and drove them to Rockwood where a little birdie (re. facebook albums) told me more drunk times, dancing and scandalous times (youknowwhoyouare) occurred.
The sacrifices I’ve made for The Marathon so far, have sucked; bailing on Kavita’s birthday, leaving Jenn’s wedding early, leaving the cottage early and pretty much not drinking at all the parties in the last few months (parties such as Adrian and Sam’s birthdays). Ps Adrian, I’m so in for Oktoberfest and you better believe I’ll be bringing my A-Game to the table, and by A-Game, I mean chugging red cups with beer in them.
Anywho, I woke nice n’ early Sunday morning and headed out with my running group for an “easy” (that was their word, not mine) 23k run. I was terrified of my shin splints striking my right leg again, but in an AWESOME turn of events, I didn’t feel them at all!! (<— double exclamation marks 100% deserved there) I felt very strong the whole run, even breaking away from my group at the end (which is pretty much unheard of for me: I’m usually at the back).
After the run, we all headed to brunch for a well deserved carb fest.

After brunch I headed to Starbizzle to wine and dine Maria with a latte before heading uptown to take a nap and to meet Angela for a delicious dinner on Main Street.

Monday I headed to riding where I had a phenomenal ride with my Boy, Trigger, a solid nap in my childhood bed, a little shopping at Walmart (yes, walmart where I got the cutest pair of pink, plaid flats), Joe Fresh and Club Monaco.
This coming week promises two runs, lots of tv (as I am sooo far behind on), new condo searching, studying, and riding.
